Fat Chance Blues Band

Fat Chance Blues Band
from Pueblo ,CO

The Fat Chance Blues Band performs at 'The Downbeat' every Friday / Saturday, 9 pm to 1 am and musicians from throughout Colorado stop by to jam with us as we provide the audience with entertainment that is truly out of the ordinary!

A little Downbeat history – In the 1970's and 80's Simmons' Downbeat, owned by Art and Julia Simmons, was known as Pueblo's homw of the blues.  After being sold, the club changed ownership and names several times ober the years and as time passed the blues went by the wayside.  But now after 20 years, The Downbeat and the blues are back in Pueblo!

5/20/11 – More info from George (Thanks, George!)

Made up of George “The Reverend” Rivera, John “Senator” McCain, and Alex “Alwood” Clark, THE FAT CHANCE BLUES BAND, is one of Pueblo’s premiere bands.  George is the band's leader and lead singer and guitar player, John plays bass guitar and Alex, the band’s drummer, rounds out the trio.

Playing nothing but the blues, the band’s repertoire consists of numerous original tunes that George has written as well as cover songs by well known and relatively obscure blues legends.  The Fat Chance Blues Band is currently the house band at Pueblo’s only blues club, The Downbeat located at 1335 E. Evans, where they rock the house every Friday and Saturday night.

The band is way pumped up to play their original tunes at Trinidaddio XIII and they hope their music will be as well received at the Trinidaddio as it has at other venues which they have played, events that include the Boats, Blues, and BBQ, the Pueblo Chili Festival in Pueblo, Santa Fe Trail Days in Trinidad and at numerous nightclubs and restaurants in Pueblo, and numerous Southern Colorado cities as well.
